Company Profile
McGregor Geoscience Limited (McGregor) has a legacy of accomplishment in the management and execution of hydrographic and marine geoscience projects dating back to 1973.
Senior management at McGregor GeoScience has a combined 65 years of operational experience in the collection and interpretation of land and marine geoscience, hydrographic and precise navigation data. This experience spans not only several continents and decades but has also bridged a wide range of technological developments/enhancements in the methodologies and systems employed in the execution of our work. The development and implementation of the Global Positioning System has forever changed navigation and positioning while the switch from analogue to digital has enabled us to collect and manage large volumes of data in a more flexible and efficient manner. These are only a few of the myriad developments and improvements we have witnessed and participated in. As the costs of conducting surveys have increased and the risks to personnel, the environment and private property have become priorities we have also become more cognizant of the need to have documented and implemented systems and procedures in place to manage safety, quality and production whilst protecting our people and the environment.
In March, 2007, McGregor GeoScience Limited was purchased by Superport Marine Services Limited of Port Hawkesbury, NS. The new ownership, while bringing an increased level of investment in the capabilities of McGregor has also provided access to a range of personnel and equipment resources that has served to expand our capabilities to our client base. McGregor can now boast access to dedicated survey vessels, the R/V Strait Signet and R/V Strait Explorer, shown below.
